Rockpool invests £8m in Harley Academy [Feb 2024]

Harley Academy announced on 12 February 2024 that it had secured £8 million of investment from Rockpool Investments. The business said the funding would be used to accelerate growth, expand its educational offering, invest in technology and digital learning, and support further development of its teaching team and international reach. [1]

Rockpool subsequently described Harley Academy as a leading aesthetics training and clinic business and said the investment would help the company take advantage of expected growth in demand for higher-quality training and qualifications as regulation develops across the UK aesthetics sector. [2]

Harley Academy, founded in 2015 and led by founder and CEO Tristan Mehta, operates in higher education for non-surgical medical aesthetics, with qualifications focused on injectables and other medical-aesthetics modalities. Rockpool’s portfolio page lists the 2024 transaction as an equity release in the healthcare sector. [3]

The investment also became the starting point for a broader expansion strategy. In August 2025, Harley Academy acquired SkinViva Training, supported by further capital from Rockpool and management, giving the business training facilities in the North of England for the first time. Harley also expanded internationally through a partnership in Toronto with Prollenium. [4]

The Harley View

This deal is useful because it shows that education itself has become an investable asset within medical aesthetics.

The strategic value is not simply course revenue. A scaled training provider can build practitioner relationships, recurring education, digital learning platforms and influence across the professional market.

For Harley’s tracked deals, the transaction sits alongside product, distribution and clinic investments as evidence that capital is moving across the wider aesthetics infrastructure — not just into manufacturers and brands.
