Galderma secures EU approval for Restylane Shaype

Galderma is expanding its Restylane portfolio in Europe following approval of Restylane Shaype, a hyaluronic acid injectable developed for temporary augmentation of the chin region.¹

The approval was announced on 11 August 2026, with Galderma positioning Shaype as a product designed for deep injection onto bone and to provide what it describes as a “bone-mimicking” effect for shaping the lower face.¹

Shaype uses Galderma’s NASHA HD™ technology and is designed to provide high firmness and structural support for chin projection, elongation and definition.¹

The European approval follows the product’s earlier international rollout, including approval and launch in Canada.²

Why it matters

The launch reflects the continued move towards more indication-specific dermal fillers, with manufacturers increasingly differentiating products according to rheology, injection depth and intended anatomical function.

For clinics, Shaype adds another option specifically positioned around structural lower-face treatment rather than general facial volumisation.
