Function Health secures $450m as investors back personalised health data
Function Health announced the closing of $450 million in growth financing on 30 July 2026, provided by General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund. PR Newswire
Founded around the idea of giving consumers greater access to their own health data, Function combines laboratory testing, imaging and personalised health intelligence within a single platform.
The company said the financing will be used to expand access to the platform and accelerate growth. PR Newswire
The announcement follows a period of expansion for Function. During the second quarter of 2026, the company acquired Getlabs’ nationwide blood-draw network and SuppCo, a supplement-management platform, extending its reach beyond testing into the infrastructure surrounding ongoing health management. Function has positioned itself around longitudinal health data rather than individual diagnostic episodes — bringing repeated lab testing, imaging and health information together to help users track changes over time.

Function represents another version of the same shift occurring across preventative health.
Rather than waiting until a consumer becomes ill, businesses are increasingly giving people direct access to blood biomarkers, imaging and personalised health data.
That could have implications beyond traditional healthcare.
As consumers become more familiar with tracking biomarkers, body composition, sleep, glucose and other measures, expectations around personalisation may also change within aesthetics and wellness.
The strategic question for clinics is whether they remain focused exclusively on treatments — or increasingly become part of a wider consumer journey around appearance, health and longevity.
