Bridgepoint acquires Vivacy in €865m deal [March 2023]

Bridgepoint acquired Vivacy through its Bridgepoint Europe VII fund, with the transaction completing in March 2023. Companies House records for Vivacy’s UK entity show Bridgepoint Europe VII becoming the controlling shareholder on 21 March 2023. [2]

Vivacy, founded in 2007, develops hyaluronic acid-based injectable products for medical aesthetics and exports to more than 85 countries. Its portfolio includes the Stylage range alongside skincare products and medical devices used in other healthcare applications. [1]

Bridgepoint’s own reporting described the transaction as a €865 million acquisition and positioned Vivacy as a global personal healthcare company operating in a market supported by growing demand for aesthetic and anti-ageing treatments. [3]

The Harley View

The Vivacy deal is significant because it shows private equity moving directly into aesthetic product ownership at scale.

Unlike investments in clinics, education or distribution, the strategic asset here is the product platform itself: brand equity, intellectual property, manufacturing capability and international professional reach.

The deal also became the foundation for a broader dermatology and aesthetics strategy at Bridgepoint. The investor subsequently acquired RoC Skincare and, in 2026, agreed to acquire Obagi Medical, explicitly referencing opportunities to connect Obagi with Vivacy across professional skincare and aesthetics. [4][5]

For Harley’s deal history, Vivacy is therefore more than a standalone acquisition. It is an early example of an investor building a broader professional aesthetics and skin-health portfolio around complementary assets.
